Educational Game: Zero Bullying

Alongside Power of Zero, we developed this interactive game that engages children and adults as they face typical scenarios where bullying occurs, such as school, the school gym, or a party. The game addresses the three most common perspectives in a child bullying situation:

The victim
The bully
The witness/es, also called bystanders

The game dynamics allow children to make decisions that help stop bullying, support their friends, and seek help from adults.

Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

It tells the story of a kind wolf who longs to join a flock of sheep to make friends.

Listen to the story with your students and then use it to have a conversation in class using the following conversation topics regarding friendship:

Acceptance of Differences:
- How did the wolf feel initially when he couldn't play with the sheep?
- What did we learn about accepting differences when the sheep accepted the wolf?
Creativity and Problem Solving:
- How did the wolf use his creativity to solve the problem of being accepted by the sheep?
- What other ways could we find to help the wolf integrate?
Importance of Honesty:
- What happened when the wolf hid his identity from the sheep?
- Why do you think it's important to be honest about who we are?
Development of Friendships:
- How did the wolf change after making friends with the sheep?
- What activities did they enjoy together and how did this strengthen their friendship?
Value of Unique Skills:
- How did the sheep react when they discovered the wolf's unique skills, like reading?
- In what ways can different skills enrich a group of friends?

These conversation points can help students reflect on themes such as friendship, acceptance, and the importance of authenticity.

Activities to do in class:

1) Construction of Creative Costumes:

Provide materials like paper, cardboard, cotton, and glue.
Ask your students to build their own creative costumes that represent something unique about themselves.
Encourage them to share their creations and explain what they chose and why.

2) Friendly Artworks for the Wolf:

Invite your students to create an artwork to give to the wolf as a token of friendship towards him.
Once everyone has made an artwork to give to the Wolf, propose an artwork exchange dynamic, so that each student receives an artwork made by a classmate, ready to be intervened!
